The same afternoon that we arrived on horseback in Pontechianale, we got a lift by car to Chianale.

This is another small town a bit further up in the mountain. The speciality of this place is the little rocky bridge the combines the houses on each side of the river. It’s also a very tidy town with many beautiful buildings that are well preserved from the old days.
Tonino and his wife, Anna, were so nice to bring us there by car, just before we were going to have the last party with the horse people. It was a great way to get to know a little bit more about the valley and it’s history.
